Terms of Use
The rules for using this website, what the information on it is and is not, and where the real numbers come from.
What This Page Is
Last updated 28 September 2026.
This website belongs to Tamara Hekkema, a REALTOR® licensed in Michigan with Greenridge Realty, 1311 W Main Street, Fremont, MI 49412. Using the site means these terms apply to you. They are short on purpose.
The Information Here Is General, Not Advice About Your Situation
The pages on this site explain how I work and what I know about this market. They describe my general process. They are not legal, tax, lending, insurance or investment advice, and they are not a substitute for talking to an attorney, a CPA, a lender or a licensed inspector about your own transaction.
Property and market information changes constantly. Anything written here was accurate when it was written, and I do not promise it still is on the day you read it. Before you act on anything on this site, ask me about your actual situation.
Nothing on this site is an offer to buy or sell any property, and reading it does not make me your agent. That happens when we agree it in writing, on terms we both sign.
Property Listings
Where listing information appears on this site, it comes from the multiple listing service and other sources believed to be reliable, and it is not guaranteed. Square footage, lot size, room counts, taxes and school information should be verified independently before you rely on any of them.
A property shown here may already be under contract or sold. If a specific one matters to you, ask me and I will check its current status.
All real estate advertised on this site is subject to the federal Fair Housing Act, which makes it illegal to advertise any preference, limitation or discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status or national origin, or an intention to make any such preference, limitation or discrimination. I describe properties and places here, never the people in them.
The Chat Assistant
The assistant in the corner of the screen answers from this site's own content. It is a convenience and it is not me. It can be wrong, it can be out of date, and it cannot give you advice about your transaction.
Do not type anything confidential into it. If a question matters, call me on (231) 340-6420 or email Tamara@SearchTheLakeshore.com and get the answer from a person.
What Belongs to Whom
The writing, photographs, video and design on this site are mine or used with permission, and they are not free to copy for another agent's website or marketing. Quoting a short passage with a link back is fine. Lifting a page is not.
Links out to other websites are there because they were useful. I do not control those sites and I am not responsible for what is on them.
The Usual Legal Part
This site is provided as it is. I do not promise it will always be available or always free of error, and to the extent the law allows, I am not liable for loss arising from your use of it. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing here affects any obligation I owe you as a licensed real estate professional under Michigan law or under an agreement we have signed.
These terms are governed by the law of the State of Michigan.
If these terms change, the date at the top of this page changes with them. Questions about any of it go to Tamara@SearchTheLakeshore.com or (231) 340-6420.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does reading this website make you my agent?
No. An agency relationship starts when we agree it in writing on terms we both sign, and Michigan requires an agency disclosure before you tell me anything confidential. Until then nothing on this site creates a relationship between us.
Is the listing information on this site guaranteed?
No. It comes from the multiple listing service and other sources believed to be reliable, and it should be verified independently. Square footage, lot size, taxes and school information in particular are worth checking rather than assuming. Ask me about a specific property and I will confirm where it actually stands.
